grow our car search and thrives, with unfortunately no fruit. Today we have looked at a car: a 1985 Nissan Sunny, in great condition. Looked pretty good from the inside out, from the outside I had to stop to get used to it. 1200 $ it would still be fully in our price range there, but as you probably already noticed, I use the subjunctive. Without the home anyway existing power steering, which we have enjoyed in the borrowed car from Megan, driving is already noticeably heavier. Some would now call out loud "Get a perm!". But I think I am in the car, which I will drive at least to the end of January here, great people to be. In this respect, I am rooting that have examined the people who Megan's car, do not choose to do so. Because we would buy it:) * good news *
What's else to report? Megan will move later this month in their new house (assistance is provided by the almost entire camp) will help when moving Armin and me stronger! Why Megan grabs the moment of every day off can get. Yesterday (Sunday) have Armin and I freed her garden beds of moss and all sorts of stuff that has accumulated in recent years there. Since Megan's green thumb than is present in the herb cutting, you can imagine what kind of work was the ^ ^
While I'm still thinking what happened last time still may interest you, or the like I want to thank you so for all mails, postcards and any contact! I have not really homesick, but by various Skype calls, long-mails forever, reporting on the baseline, I do have a little contact with you, I on Do not want to lose:) THANK YOU!
our month of travel planning has finally started rolling, which was mainly due to a Skype call with Kosha. For all those who missed it: Armin, Kosha and I, three German volunteers, the tour will spend months together! Armin and I will be here at the beginning start driving for two, take the ferry to Picton and be up to Christmas in Christchurch. There we will spend Christmas Eve with Kosha who lives there in the moment. Then we drive comfortably for one week (until New Year) to Queenstown to welcome the new year. A day to rest or take short trips and then it goes on 2 (There's link here ) January on the Routeburn track. This hike takes 3 days and should give us a wonderful insight into the nature of New Zealand. As of 05/01/2010 it's off to the west coast of the South Island north again, then about 15 Around again in January to take the ferry to the North Island. As far as the planning, Wednesday we skype again to let us continue on with us. Strangely, we are well in contrast to other volunteers pretty far with our planning, because very few have to waste a second thought. If yes but just barely 3-4 months * PANIC *
Last Friday, Armin and I were spanked in a truck pulled in and our second camp - Ruapehu Christian Camp - carted. One and a half hours later we were allowed to start, add to 200 meters of road through a deep trench 35cm (15cm wide). These should be placed a pump hose, which supplies fresh water to the camp. A few hours later, my motivation was already back in the Lake Taupo Christian Camp arrived, while I've toiled .. well, yes. Was something different and the way I've seen some really great scenery. As one becomes aware really that you are no longer in Germany.
What displeases me a little bit (can not even all peace-joy-pancakes to be) is that if we have no groups in the camp on weekends and is therefore not cooked us from Left-Overs (in German only half as good! radicals have to feed). Thus, we had Friday night, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch and dinner rice with meat balls. After 2 days you hope just yet on Monday, when it is cooked again for the groups. As hard as it can not be true on Friday afternoon, quickly what to cook for us. Well probably after this weekend we again expected a left-over drama, and I had Armin clever done what we all use to cook and it was said on Sunday afternoon: not taste, are not! In the end we had a super delicious food and I look with anticipation to the next group of lots weekend.
What else, what else, what else? I want to get it counted that I am trying here to get everything together.
Lorraine and Megan have taken volunteers at a free (and thankfully sunny) day on a sightseeing tour around Taupo / camp. We were at the Huka Falls, which were really worth a visit.
Then we went to the Honey Hive , a large house on bees, honey products, and all similar reports. (These are in fact, this Megan-links/Lorraine-rechts).
Then we had a little time to Taupo in a little shopping, walk around and drink a coffee. At 2 we went on to clock "main attraction" of the day: A boat tour on the Lake Taupo. It has first determined that the lake is much larger than it appears from us about our camp forever. Highlight (I write separately to Lisa did not "highlight";) of the trip, however, were the Maori carvings. They are, as you can see in the pictures, a kind of carvings in a nearly straight stone wall. Pretty impressive, if one imagines how the people up there got it. Great, great:)
Otherwise, everything here is as usual. The camp people have children, we are working happily in front of us and the spring has resoundingly catchment :-)
Armin and I spend many nights a week with Megan, which we just TV or watch DVDs, and Megan and their Daughter Challse just have a fun time. In any case, it does sometimes good to be outside the camp.
